Synopsis:A forty-year old who lived a comfortable life in the Soviet Union, ends up in Georgia in the difficult condition of having to adapt to change. She is granted a loan at a high interest rate and little by little becomes drowned in debt, trapped in a vicious circle that she can’t get out of.Director’s Statement:My intention was to show the atmosphere in today’s Tbilisi, the post-Soviet city, which seems to be left at the mercy of loan sharks, high-interest bank mortgage loans, pawn shops and currency exchange points. Laden with everyday problems of material nature, people lose the ability to look at their own lives from a distance. They just follow the current and, despite themselves, discover they are pulled down into the whirlpool that, far from sparing their emotions, drags everything deeper, devouring all that is characteristic to a human nature.
