SIMPLY HAPPY paints the portrait of a generation that wanted to forget the past as quickly as possible by heading towards the future full of optimism. The film has been compiled from home movies, interviews and archival material. The filmmakers have used the idea of human happiness to structure the material. By using a collage-like visual style, the film becomes experimental in character. Besides that, filmmakers Albert Wuffers and Peter Forgacs also focus their attention on details and on verbal and visual cliches.
