After watching"Heitor dos Prazeres" and"See and Hear", my desire is to watch 2 other short films of Fontoura:"My Name is Gal" and"Mutants", both from 1970s. I hope there are still copies or not, because the information they suggest at least a curious experience of short musical, in which the director seems to encamp with great enthusiasm the proposals of direct cinema. In an interview to the Jornal da Tarde (14.agosto.1969), Fontoura said as Gerchman liked to shoot on the streets of Rio, the tables mixed with the people ("a kind of happening"), and how to use the techniques of improvisation in the film with Os Mutantes, to be co-authors, encouraged to"create freely." According to the report, in My Name is Gal a hidden camera filmed the singer through the streets of the center or interpreting a historiazinha ("she agrees, discards the pellets of hair and prepares to leave"). The two shorts were part of a project developed between the record label founded by Philips and producing Fontoura and David Neves.
