The film"Sucedió en Sevilla/It happened in Seville" by José Gutiérrez Maesso is a good opportunity for showing Andalusia, Seville, their typical pilgrimages and bullfighting (with as repercussions occasionally some scene too long). It permits to the very famous singer from Seville, Juanita Reina, who is now about 30 years old, to sing some of her more famous songs while Juanjo Menéndez with the part of the nice but great nincompoop north-American lover of Esperanza's sister brings a touch of burlesque But the film is not only that whatever JG Maesso has said about his second cinematographic word in which he has had to accept Alfredo Mayo imposed by the Company CIFESA. The director seemed not to appreciate him and even he considered him as an error of casting.
