Vera Neubauer ahs taken the fairly straightforward narrative of a woman's disillusionment with the world and quest for a solution to her problems as the basis for a dialogue (Conducted in both animation and live film) between the film-maker and her medium, the domestic problems she faces, and the characters she is in the process of creating. The strength of fhe film comes from the struggle which the film-maker sees between the stereotyped image of herself as a woman with assumed duties and roles and the need to break free from such constraints in order to realise her full potential and talent.
