Virginia Tangvald never knew her father, the famous Norwegian ocean racer Peter Tangvald, whose boat sank off the West Indian coast in 1991. His son Thomas also took on the life of a great adventurer before his yacht disappeared in 2014. Overwhelmed by her family's story, the director questions and lifts the veil on the mystery. From an idealized father figure to siblings living far from each other, archival footage is combined with interviews in this exploration of transmission, trauma and grief. An intimate and universal documentary, coupled with a gripping and moving international investigation.
